Overview: Guatemala is one of the worlds finest coffee producers and this example doesn’t disappoint. SHG means Strictly High Grown which is allowed to be used when the coffee is grown above 1,200meters above sea level. The unique position of this region means that it is bathed in hot winds from Mexico and thus protected from frost, allowing the coffee to be grown at altitudes in excess of 1,350masl. This gives the coffee a very clean and distinct fruit flavours.
Profile: Ripe plums, blanched almonds and dark chocolate.
